It’s been forever since I blogged here! The past few months have been such a whirlwind. Portrait bookings, wedding bookings… the year definitely kicked off to an amazing start!

Here are some shots I took of the beautiful and talented Blair Hansen. I have worked with her before and every time we come together it seems like I get some of my proudest shots. Working with entertainers is my absolute favorite as they are performing for you as you shoot them. You are capturing their music. Their style. Their soul in the photograph.
Many thanks to Blair’s girlfriend, Tara for assisting with lighting in this shoot. You helped make such amazing images!

Taken at her parent’s home in Castro Valley, California.

Be sure to check out her music via myspace at www.myspace.com/blairhansen

Thank you so much Blair for giving me the oppurtunity to capture you in pictures.

Self Portrait. Added grunge textures. Turned black and white. Dootee doot.

I went to do my daily check of Digital Camera Magazine Online and I found my older piece, Adversion on the main page!  I know it’s not a publication or anything… but it’s nice for anyone to recognize me.  I just wish it was one of my newer images!

I end up taking the fact that my work isn’t popular on a place like DeviantART as that my work isn’t good. It’s been really killing my confidence lately. I see my work.. am proud.. post around and it feels like no one takes notice. It might be due to the fact I don’t post until 1am :P

Client shoot tonight for a go go dancer. I’m excited!

So I don’t have a perfectly symmetrical face.
So sue me! =)
I have so many choices with lighting now. So much to experiment with. Truly the best money I have spent in a long time. 2 Soft boxes, back lighting, and 1 reflector.

It’s not the best… but I’m proud.

I got together with my photographer friend Krystal originally to have her model for me…. but then she wanted to play with my camera and roles got reversed! Not gonna lie.. she actually ended up taking more pictures of me @_@

Definitely was a lot of fun. I enjoyed being on the other side of the camera…. even though it was uncomfortable at first!

My fav shots from her photos :

And now here are my favorite shots I took of her! =)

I need to get back out shooting this weekend. I took this whole weekend off doing much of anything due to tweaking out my neck last Friday in my sleep. Haven’t been able to fully move my neck for three days. But today it’s finally loosened up and I am ready to start shooting again! I got this awesome lens.. I gotta use it =)
